The ColorEdge PROMINENCE CG1 true HDR reference monitor will be debuting at NAB 2024 in the EIZO booth ahead of market release.

The monitor is the successor to CG3146, which is the world's first true HDR reference monitor to have a built-in calibration sensor for professional color grading. 

EIZO’s extensive experience in developing color-critical monitor solutions culminated in 2017 with the launch of its flagship ColorEdge PROMINENCE HDR reference monitor. The ColorEdge PROMINENCE CG1 continues the legacy of EIZO’s HDR reference monitor lineup by maintaining the high performance and display characteristics of its predecessors, while enhancing technical functionality for efficient video creation workflows.

・Fixed Rate Link (FRL) support for working reliably with devices using HDMI^® signals to manage data

Working within the wrong parameters affects the creator’s editing decisions, potentially requiring significant rework of the project and causing costly delays in production schedules. Pixel Inspection, operated through the monitor's OSD, shows the color information of a pixel from the source input data and the data as it is displayed on the monitor. System managers can use this information to verify that the creator's technical settings match the current project's predefined color parameters.

ColorNavigator 7 is EIZO's unique calibration and quality control software for ColorEdge color management monitors. New at NAB, we will be demonstrating the ColorNavigator API for software developers and system managers to ColorNavigator 7 functions into third-party applications. Integration effectively allows other applications to perform certain monitor management functions without requiring the user to operate ColorNavigator 7 in a separate window. ColorNavigator 7 functions that are available with the API include changing the color mode, creating a new calibration target, executing or canceling SelfCalibration, retrieving calibration results, and more.
