EIZO Releases 17-Inch Analog and Digital Input Monitor for Security & Surveillance

DuraVision FDS1703-AHakusan, Japan, February 20, 2020 – EIZO Corporation (TSE: 6737) today announced the DuraVision FSD1703-A – a 17-inch analog and digital input monitor with 1280 x 1024 resolution for security & surveillance.

The DuraVision FDS1703-A is the successor to the FDS1703. Differing from its predecessor, this new model is equipped with an HDMI connector for receiving signals from a digital source, such as an HDD recorder. It also has a composite (BNC) input for connection to video surveillance equipment, such as close-circuit televisions (CCTV) and security cameras. The monitor supports NTSC, PAL, and SECAM signals for connecting to a variety of other surveillance equipment.

The monitor can accept a full HD (1920 x 1080) signal via HDMI and display the content at its native resolution of 1280 x 1024. Multiple screen setting options allow operators to easily display images to fit to the screen, stretch to fill, or enlarge with aspect ratio maintained.

The DuraVision FDS1703-A features underscan and overscan display functions. Underscan shows 100% of an image and is ideal for video signals, while overscan displays approximately 95% of an image, eliminating extraneous TV broadcasting data that sometimes appears at the edges of the screen.

The DuraVision FDS1703-A’s Up View function minimizes color shift that typically occurs when viewing an LCD monitor from a low angle. This ensures image clarity even when it is installed above eye level.

A 3D Y/C separation circuit is built in and separates the brightness signal from the color information for effectively reducing color flickering and noise that is typically characteristic of analog signals.

Additional Features

  • 0.5 W + 0.5 W built-in stereo speakers
  • 24-hour use, 2-year warranty

Availability

The DuraVision FDS1703-A will begin shipping from May 2020. Date of availability varies by country so contact the EIZO group company or distributor in your country for details.
